These pieces are made slowly and each piece is one of a kind, using reclaimed Oshima Tsumugi and Shiro Oshima kimono textiles that are handwoven, kasuri-tied and dorozome mud-dyed through techniques requiring remarkable skills and time. Each garment is individually reworked from its original kimono panels, cut and sewn, and finished with care. The materials are rare, the process is deliberate and each piece reflects the many hands and stories behind it.
